1. Who this covers
SiteWatch connects overseas property owners ("Customers") with local field agents ("Verifiers") who visit a site, take GPS-tagged photos, and produce a verification report. This policy applies to both Customers and Verifiers using our website, web app, and mobile apps.
2. What we collect
You give us: - Account & contact details — name, email, phone number (used for login, notifications, and WhatsApp updates). - Job details — property address, location coordinates, and the description/instructions you enter for a verification. - Payment information — processed by our payment provider (Stripe). We do not store your full card number; Stripe handles card data directly.
Verifiers additionally provide: - GPS location — captured at the time of a site visit to confirm the Verifier was physically at the property (geofence verification). - Photos — images taken on site for the verification report. - Self-certification details — name, country of residence, and contractor status.
Collected automatically: - Basic device/usage data and app analytics (via Cloudflare) to keep the service secure and working.
3. How we use it
- To deliver the service — dispatch a Verifier, verify their on-site presence (GPS geofence), generate and deliver your report.
- To process payments (via Stripe) and pay Verifiers.
- To communicate with you — status updates, reports, and support (email/WhatsApp).
- To improve report quality — an AI text tool (AWS Bedrock) helps polish verification descriptions. We do not use your data to train third-party AI models.
- To protect the service — fraud prevention, abuse/bot protection, and security.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Location & photos (why we need them)
GPS location and photos are core to the product — they are how a verification is proven genuine. Verifiers' location is captured only during an active site visit, not continuously in the background. Photos are attached to the specific job they belong to.
5. Who we share it with
- Service providers who help us operate: Stripe (payments), Amazon Web Services (hosting, storage, AI processing), Cloudflare (delivery, security, analytics), and messaging providers (email/WhatsApp).
- The other party to your job, as needed to complete it (e.g., the report and relevant photos are delivered to the Customer who requested the verification).
- Legal — if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and against fraud.
6. International transfers
SiteWatch is operated from the United States and engages Verifiers in Zimbabwe. Your information may be processed in both countries and by our service providers' facilities. Data is hosted on AWS (primarily the Africa (Cape Town) region) and secured in transit and at rest.
7. How long we keep it
We keep job data, reports, and photos for as long as needed to provide the service and for a reasonable period afterward for records, disputes, and legal obligations. You can ask us to delete your account data (see Section 9), subject to any records we must retain by law.
8. Security
We use industry-standard measures — encrypted connections (HTTPS), encrypted storage, access controls, and bot/abuse protection. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
9. Your choices & rights
- Access / correction / deletion — email us to request a copy of your data, correct it, or delete your account.
- Location & camera — the app only accesses these with your device permission; you can revoke permissions in your device settings (note: verification can't be completed without them).
- Communications — you can opt out of non-essential messages.

10. Children
SiteWatch is for adults (18+) and not directed at children.

We may update this policy; we'll revise the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, notify you in-app or by email.
